Global Best: The Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education (FAME) is Taking Shape in Michigan

by | Aug 1, 2022

Summary

Learn how the Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education (FAME) model is used to develop professional, highly-skilled technicians to meet the needs of modern manufacturing.

This session from Integr8 2022, sponsored by Automation Alley members Toyota, explores Industry 4.0 workforce development and dives into how FAME is providing a comprehensive, hands-on education that prepares individuals for a rewarding career in manufacturing by matching students with employers.

The first Michigan FAME Chapter will begin in the Fall of 2023. The chapter will be led by the Jackson Area Manufacturers Association (JAMA). Washtenaw Community College will be the college partner.

“We’re glad to see FAME taking shape in Michigan, providing another tool to help manufacturers of all sizes be even more competitive in an already strong manufacturing state,” said FAME National Director Tony Davis.
