The Microelectronics & Semiconductor Innovation Exchange is a regional industry forum designed to bring together members of Automation Alley, semiconductor and advanced manufacturing employers, educators, workforce development partners, and economic development stakeholders to address current opportunities and challenges facing the microelectronics and semiconductor sectors.

Through keynote presentations, facilitated discussions, and industry networking, participants will explore workforce development needs, emerging technologies, talent pipeline strategies, and collaborative approaches to strengthening Michigan’s semiconductor ecosystem.

The event will also showcase Washtenaw Community College’s Advanced Manufacturing Labs, Soldering Lab, and Clean Room facilities while highlighting the College’s credit and workforce training programs that support the growing demand for skilled talent in microelectronics and semiconductor manufacturing.

The forum will also highlight Michigan’s unique role as the place where semiconductor innovation is integrated into real-world applications across automotive, defense, energy, and smart manufacturing.
