Dr. Fuhrmann is the interim chair of the Department of Applied Computing, one of two academic units in the new College of Computing at Michigan Tech. Prior to that he was chair of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, also at Michigan Tech. He was on the faculty of the Department of Electrical and Systems Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis for 24 years. His research and teaching interests including statistical signal processing, data communications, radar signal processing, instrumentation, data acquisition, and electrical engineering fundamentals.
