Scientists are working to develop a robot soccer team capable of playing against human players as part of RoboCup competition (by 2050). The focus is on developing technologies related to planning, cooperation and decision-making under uncertainty, sensing and action planning, hierarchical control, multiagent/multi-ro systems theory and applications. They're also concentrating on issues related to robustness and adaptivity, teamwork and cooperation with humans, and control of many robotic systems in dynamic environments.
